Darin Sabine Memorial Scholarship for Newington Public School Alumni
All applicants must have spent three years minimum*, as a student at the Newington Public School, be a senior in high school and plan on continuing their education at a college, university, or vocational/technical school. Applicants for the award must write an essay describing their most memorable moments and the positive effects the Newington Public School had on their school years and/or growing up. Winner will be chosen based on merit and content of the essay. The winning essay will receive a scholarship in the amount of $500.
Applicants should fill out the application and attach their essay. Winner will be chosen based on merit and content of the essay. Correct grammar, punctuation and good writing also count!

All applications must be received by May 1 of the applicants’ senior year. A winner will be chosen by May 15th, and notified shortly thereafter.
*In the event that there are no applicants with a minimum of 3 years spent at NPS, the scholarship may be awarded to an applicant with at least 1 or 2 years spent at NPS.
